I had my early education in my home country, Iran. I received my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Azad University. After working as an engineer for a while, I went to Malaysia to pursue an MBA degree. I received my MBA from Multimedia University in Malaysia. I found my calling in finance and came to the U.S. in 2008 for a Master of Science degree in Quantitative Financial Economics (MSQFE). I got my PhD in Finance from Oklahoma State University, Spears School of Business. I’ve been a visiting assistant professor in the Finance Department at Ohio University in Athens, OH from 2014 to 2016 and at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) from 2016 to 2017. Currently, I am an assistant professor of finance at Robert C. Vackar College of Business & Entrepreneurship at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
